Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. This opportunity is for a certified Special Education
Teacher specializing in Elementary Cognitively Impaired (CI)
students, serving grades K-2 within a K-12 school setting in
Detroit, MI. The position is a full-time, onsite contract role
lasting through the current school year, ending June 11, 2026. Key
Responsibilities: - Deliver specialized instruction tailored to
students with cognitive impairments in grades K-2 - Implement
individualized education programs (IEPs) in compliance with special
education requirements - Collaborate with educational staff to
support student learning and behavioral needs - Maintain classroom
management and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment
Qualifications and Experience: - Valid Special Education license
with CI or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) endorsement -
Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or
willingness to obtain and maintain certification annually -
Experience working with young students requiring specialized
instruction is preferred - Strong communication and collaboration
skills for working within a multidisciplinary educational team
