Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This Healthcare Professional role is focused on providing speech-language pathology services in a dynamic K-12 educational setting located in Brighton, MI. The position is a contract assignment lasting from May 1st through June 12th, covering a leave of absence. The role primarily supports students in grades JK-4, with additional work in a communication intervention (CI) program serving one classroom of 8 students. Responsibilities: - Deliver speech-language pathology services aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) across multiple school buildings - Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders primarily in JK-4 students - Support communication intervention programs, including one specialized classroom setting - Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized goals and strategies - Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress Desired Qualifications: - Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred - Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or experience in school settings - Experience working in K-12 educational environments, with emphasis on early childhood to elementary grades - Strong understanding of communication intervention approaches and specialized classroom needs - Flexibility to serve students across multiple buildings Location:Brighton, MI working within local K-12 schools This temporary contract provides an opportunity to apply specialized speech-language expertise in a supportive educational community during a critical period.
