Lincoln Electric is seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our Engineering & Design team in Cleveland, Ohio. As an industry leader in welding and cutting solutions, we pride ourselves on innovation and excellence. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing control systems for our advanced manufacturing processes, contributing directly to the efficiency and quality of our product offerings. Design, develop, and implement control systems for manufacturing equipment using PLCs and other automation technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with mechanical, electronic, and software components. Perform system analysis, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation and reliability. Document and maintain control system configurations and changes. Provide technical support and training to plant personnel on new and existing control systems. Continuously research and implement new technologies and approaches to enhance production efficiency and safety. Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting Experience with HMI design and configuration Strong understanding of electrical systems and circuitry Ability to design and read electrical schematics Competence in using automation software and tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and project management abilities Certified Automation Professional (CAP) is preferred Relevant software and hardware certifications related to control system technology
