The Public Relations Manager will oversee Baker College's
communication initiatives, specifically with media
releases, interviews, events and other forms of communication. The
Manager will be responsible to field media
questions and pitch stories, prepare media kits and organize press
conferences bringing positive Baker College news to the community.
The Public Relations Manager will work closely with the Social
Media Manager, Director of Alumni Relations and other members of
the internal marketing team to create and coordinate Baker College
activities, special events, alumni testimonials and develop
effective strategies and tactics to achieve goals, and promote the
organization in print and broadcast media outlets.

A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:
Develop and implement publicity strategies for Baker College,
including crisis and emergency communications strategies.
Develop a marketing communication plan including strategy, goals,
budget, and tactics
Analyze all media coverage of the College and develop and oversee
media relations strategy, seeking high quality placements in print,
broadcast, and online media.
Manage, and evaluate current, content produced for website and
social media channels.
Coordinator all public relations activities by managing media
inquiries and interview requests.

Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in
Public Relations, Journalism, English, Communications or Marketing
with PR or Advertising concentration required.
Master's degree preferred.
Two to three years in public relations experience required;
experience with higher education preferred.
