Tenneco/DRiV is looking for an experienced, innovative, and results driven Product Manager to lead DRiV's Americas Aftermarket product strategy (Mexico and Latin America). This role is inherently cross-functional - you will work closely with Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Finance, Commercial and Tech Support Teams, as well as Executive Leadership for the Americas business unit. This job will require exceptional analytical, technical and communication skills while having the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment with all levels of leadership, and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist.

The ideal candidate must have a high degree of autonomy with the ability to navigate ambiguous problems, develop solutions, and drive the designated category forward. This individual must be able to think strategically and be proficient at influencing cross-functionally to deliver strong results. This individual must have strong technical and analytical ability to dive deep in understanding the product and the competitive landscape to build a best-in-class scalable product offering.

The role will be based in Southfield, MI.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, present and manage the product roadmap and market strategy, that includes managing profitability, margin improvement, planning and presenting product line reviews.
  • Define the product offering to identify gaps and customer needs by creating vision, strategy and requirements for designated Products; utilizing available primary and secondary research as well as internal knowledge and competitive analysis to identify customer needs; identifying relevant components of a competitive analysis.
  • Understand and manage product/services life cycles, profitability, demand planning, new product/services development ideation and process management, competitive offerings.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams to execute on product line strategy and commercialization plans to deliver on business case.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise at the product level, build partnerships with relevant stakeholder teams, and make trade-off decisions for designated Products.
  • Provide direction to cross-functional teams, including engineering teams and business functions, communicating the product roadmap and keeping everyone informed of updates and changes.
  • This position has 3-5 direct reports

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    • 7+ years of team management experience.
    • 7+ years of relevant experience in marketing, product management, project management, engineering. Preferably in aftermarket automotive.
    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Excellent writing, presentation, and overall communication skills.
    • Experience owning/driving product roadmap strategy and definition.
    • Strong collaboration ability with engineering, commercial, marketing and operations.
    • Experience with stage gate product management.
    • Ability to understand P&L, cost structures and margin drivers.
    • Ability to establish strong relationships with customers and partners in commercializing new products.
    • Proficiency with a CRM system and SAP.
    • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up, critical thinking, project management and time management skills.
    • Experience communicating with VP-level decision makers.
    • Develop product strategy aligning with roadmap including defining market opportunity, competitive landscape, and product KPI's.
    • Travel domestic and international up to 30%.
      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
      • Master's degree or equivalent.
      • 7+ years' experience with Product strategy.
      • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive organizational alignment.
      • Comfortable being out-front within the organization and interacting at all levels with multinational teams.
      • Passion for building products at scale with a focus on customer experience.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and deliver strong results.
      • Demonstrated ability in benchmarking and assessing competitive landscape.
      • Ability to work in ambiguous environments and overcome challenges with a high degree of flexibility and professionalism.
