sign on bonus for this full-time position. UNIT SUMMARY: We are a
fast-paced 12 bed ICU. We manage a complex patient population which
include both medical and surgical patients. Medical patient
includes serve sepsis, respiratory failure requiring advanced
airway management, GIB (GI bleeding) requiring massive blood
transfusion, kidney failure requiring CRRT, and multi organ failure
with invasive and noninvasive monitoring. Surgical patients include
post op pts that have various procedures/operations such as new
trachs, abdominal, urological and vascular surgeries. Nurse should
be able to manage high acuity patient team as well as assisting in
bedside procedures and traveling with patient for procedures and
testing off the unit. Specific must-haves for new hires/transfer:
Teamwork is the basis for our team. RNs must be team orientated and
willing to be flexible in the care, assignments and flow of the
unit while support the other staff members. MSICU RN should be able
to coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team including
providers, patient's family, and ancillary staff. Be supportive of
our unit initiatives and willing to participate in the growth of

employees GENERAL SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse, under the ANA
scope of practice, utilizes the framework of the nursing process to
provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family
centered care principles. The Registered Nurse provides quality
patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to
Beaumont policies and procedures. STANDARD QUALIFICATIONSTo perform
this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Diploma, A.D.N.,
B.S.N., M.S.N., DNP/PhD - if not minimum BSN prepared, new
graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required
to sign an educational contract upon hire to complete BSN within
specified timeframe and adhere to contract stipulations. RN must
enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of hire
date and complete within the next three (3) years. This is
effective September 1, 2017.Specialty Certification highly
recommended after 2 years in specialty.Work Experience: As required
by job posting Certification, Licensure, Registration: RN with
active license in State of MichiganOther Qualifications: Current
American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers
certification and other certifications as required by department.
