Medical Technologist Location: Detroit, MI Agency: AMN Healthcare Allied Pay: $1,874 to $1,932 per week Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Description & Requirements Medical Technologist - Clinical Laboratory Scientist - (Med Tech - MT - CLS) StartDate: 2/2/2026 Available Shifts: 8 D/N Pay Rate: $1874.00 - $1932.00 Med Technologist needed asap Under general supervision, performs routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems. Requires six months experience in a medical laboratory setting. -Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions are required. -Completion of accredited Bachelor’s Degree program in medical technology, medical laboratory sciences, or clinical laboratory sciences. -Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology may be considered if completed coursework aligns with the duties of the specific Medical Technologist position. -Coursework completed outside of the US must be verified by a NACES approved credential evaluation service -Certification at the technologist level from a nationally recognized agency, such as ASCP, NCA, ASM, AABB, ACS, or HEW is preferred. Required Qualifications Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist, Laboratory Experience: 6 months Certifications(At least one of the following): MEDTECH-ASCP(Copy Needed), CERT-CCI- ACS(Copy Needed), CERT-HEW(Copy Needed) SSN Required DOB Required Work History: Should not be more than 30 days of gap in entire work history References: 1 Reference in entire work history -Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions are required. -Completion of accredited Bachelor’s Degree program in medical technology, medical laboratory sciences, or clinical laboratory sciences. -Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology may be considered if completed coursework aligns with the duties of the specific Medical Technologist position. -Coursework completed outside of the US must be verified by a NACES approved credential evaluation service Facility Location Famous for its music, automotive industry and urban landscape, Detroit is a fascinating city begging to be explored.
