Job Description Job Description Social Worker - Child and Family Therapist Full Time/Permanent The Child and Family Therapist is responsible for providing mental health treatment and case management services. Services are delivered in the home or community based on the needs and preferences identified by the family. Must be willing/able to work a non-traditional schedule based on the needs of the families served. Specific Responsibilities: Provide weekly family therapy to families utilizing the TFCO treatment model. This includes introducing new behavioral coping and parenting skills and practices these in sessions utilizing strategic positive reinforcement and coaching interventions Engage primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment; Engage participants to identify and overcome barriers to engagement; Develop therapeutic relationships with families Travel: Mileage Reimbursement when personal vehicle used - IRS standard. .64 per mile Any training paid. Requirements: Must have a Master’s Degree or higher and be a Psychologist (TLLP, LLP, or LP) TLLP supervised by a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC or LPC) LLPC supervised by a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or Limited Licensed Master's Social Worker (LLMSW) supervised by a Licensed Master's Social Worker, and must possess and retain current licensure in the State of Michigan. - Required. Must meet Michigan Department of Community Health requirements of a Child Mental Health Professional within 120 days of hire. Must have at a minimum of 1 year of experience in the examination, evaluation and treatment of minors and their families. - Required.
