Physical Therapist Location: Midland, MI Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: 1/26/2026 About the Position ID: 74520591 Shift: 8:00 AM-5:30 PM 8-530 M-Th and 8-12 on Friday with no weekends, no holidays Description: Salary Range: $37.00 (goes up based on experience.)$20,000 sign on bonus, 2-year commitmentAgency Placement Fee: 25%Physical Therapist IPrimarily outpatient, with some acute care coverage.This position delegates responsibility to the Physical Therapist Assistant and Aides. Activities of this position are patient focused and utilize assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in accordance with physical therapy standards, physician orders, and governing policies and procedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEvaluates the patient s function by performingformal/informal testing measures to determine the skeletal, neurological,respiratory, and cardiovascular status.Develops a goal specific treatment regime basedon assessment data and the patient s tolerance to carry-out the treatment planas prescribed.Submits a written treatment regime to beincluded as part of the plan of treatment authorized by and coordinated withthe physician. Updates plan of care as needed to reflect changes in patientstatus. Co-signs verbal orders received by physical therapist assistant asnecessary.Devises a schedule of treatment, which isfrequency and duration specific to be discussed with patient/family/caregiverand coordinated with clinical support staff.Educates patient, family, and/or caregiverregarding pathology or condition, patient alternatives, prognosis, andrationale for treatment through forms of rest, exercise, modalities, and otherindicated interventions.OTHER DUTIES AND supervision for Physical TherapistAssistants, Physical Therapy Aides, Home Health Aides and students peraffiliate and regulatory standards.Recommends adaptive/supportive equipment basedon assessment; contacts appropriate representative and/or supplier to placeorder and assists in securing equipment for patient.Documents the patient/family/caregiver responseto treatment and changes in patient condition per affiliate documentationpolicies and/or standards and in compliance with regulatory agencies.Completes daily documentation necessary forbilling procedures per affiliate policy and in compliance with regulatoryagencies.Provides treatment intervention and demonstratescompetence to facilitate or restore optimal functioning specific to therapist spatient care area.Educates patient/family/caregiver in homeeducation program using relevant and effective teaching methods.Demonstrates effective oral and writtencommunication with all internal and external customers to maximize quality ofpatient care including coordination with interdisciplinary team members.Promotes education and development among staff,students, and other health care providers using relevant and effective teachingmethods.Promotes process improvement.Assists with program development, Participatesin team conferences and interdisciplinary meetings as appropriate.Promote physical therapy within MidMichiganHealth and service area, participating in and providing community education.Function as case manager for assigned cases.Demonstrates commitment to MidMichigan Healthand specific affiliate mission as evidenced by customer service, quality ofservice, and teamwork.Maintains confidentiality of patient andaffiliate information in accordance with MidMichigan Health and affiliatepolicies and procedures.Other duties as assigned.MidMichigan Health is a technology drivenorganization and employees need to demonstrate competency in Microsoft Windows.An employee may be required to participate infurther learning opportunities offered by MidMichigan Health.Interpersonal skills needed for effective verbaland written communication in the English language to interact with peopleindividually and in a group at all levels.Ability to work independently, demonstratingproblem solving and organizational skills, time management skills andinitiative.Mandatory Occupational Safety and HealthAdministration (OSHA) is required and must be completed annually according tothe Exposure Control Plan.Ability to work where employee may be exposed tocommunicable diseases.Ability to use personal protective equipmentcorrectly.Ability to perform essential job functions withreasonable accommodation.Ability to demonstrate and teach selectedtreatment routines to appropriate professional and non-professionalindividuals.PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL to stressful situations, includingthose involving public contact, as well as, trauma, grief and death.Able to wear personal protective equipment thatincludes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for yourposition.Is able to move freely about facility with orwithout an assisted device and must be able to perform the functions of the jobas outlined in the job description.Overall vision and hearing is necessary with orwithout assisted device(s).Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for longperiods of time. May require frequent postural changes such as stooping,kneeling or crouching.Some exposure to blood borne pathogens and otherpotentially infectious material. Must follow MyMichiganHealth bloodborne pathogen and TB testing asrequired.Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along withothers, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability tostay awake.Overall dexterity is required includinghandling, reaching, grasping, fingering and feeling. May require repetition ofthese movements on a regular to frequent basis.Physical Demand Level: Medium.
