A Radiologic Technologist role is available for a contract opportunity in Dearborn, MI, focused on performing diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist. This position requires applying extensive knowledge of radiologic techniques, patient safety, and departmental protocols to deliver high-quality imaging services. Key Qualifications and Experience: Professional training and certification as a Radiologic Technologist or X-ray Tech. Proficient in utilizing radiologic equipment and positioning techniques to capture diagnostic images. Strong understanding of radiation protection principles, including ALARA techniques. Ability to explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and safety. Experience with intravenous contrast media administration and patient monitoring. Skilled in using PACS and RIS systems for image processing and study documentation. Commitment to maintaining infection control standards and departmental policies. Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach to patient care. Responsibilities: Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process to alleviate concerns. Review clinical information and select appropriate imaging protocols based on physician orders. Operate radiologic equipment manually, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety. Administer contrast media as required and monitor patient responses. Manage room setup, stock replenishment, and sterile technique adherence. Document all imaging activities accurately in medical records and departmental systems. Assist in training new staff and students as needed. Collaborate with Radiologists to confirm clinical protocols and review images before finalizing studies. Consistently demonstrate professionalism, clear communication, and respect in patient interactions.
