Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in
Monroe, MI, serving a K-12 day center with a focus on students with
Severe Cognitive Impairment (SCI). This contract position runs
through the current school year and requires onsite presence. The
ideal candidate will work within the maximum caseload limit set by
Michigan, providing tailored support to enhance communication for a
specialized student population. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver
comprehensive speech-language therapy services to K-12 students
with severe cognitive impairments. - Utilize Augmentative and
Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology (AT)
devices to support students' communication needs. - Manage caseload
according to Michigan state guidelines and collaborate with
educators and caregivers. - Ensure compliance with state and
federal regulations related to therapy provision. - Maintain
accurate documentation and progress reports. Desired Qualifications
and Experience: - Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
with the CCC credential. - Valid Michigan state professional
license. - Experience working with severe cognitive impairment
populations within school settings. - Proficiency in AAC and AT
tools. - Ability to work full-time onsite within a K-12
environment. - Candidates with Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical
Fellowship (SLP-CF) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
credentials are not eligible. Location: - Onsite position in
Monroe, Michigan. This role emphasizes hands-on engagement with
students requiring specialized communication support. Those
