Are you a dedicated, Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist looking for a rewarding opportunity to enhance patient outcomes while maintaining flexibility? We are seeking a skilled physician to provide hospital-based IR services in a dynamic, Level I trauma center. This full-time locum position offers a competitive hourly rate, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to work in a collaborative environment supporting adult and geriatric populations. This role is vital to our high-quality healthcare services, requiring your expertise in performing angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, needle biopsies, thrombolysis, UFE, and additional procedures across specialties including orthopedics, gynecology, and urology. You'll join a dedicated team supported by experienced APPs and management staff, operating on a 3-week minimum coverage schedule with Q3 call in a hospital setting that thrives on collaborative care and excellence. Key skills include proficiency in various interventional procedures, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to a fast-paced hospital environment. Experience in trauma centers and familiarity with ER procedures are highly valued. Preferred candidates will possess prior experience with hospital-based IR practices, knowledge of EMR systems (specific systems not required), and the ability to onboard quickly, with credentialing expected within approximately 90 days. Additional requirements include valid medical licensure, current board certification, ability to provide documentation of all necessary credentials, and willingness to travel for assignments requiring multi-week coverage. Mileage reimbursement is available at the IRS standard rate, with optional lodging provided on campus if needed.
