As part of our logistics team, your role focuses on transporting items with care and precision. You are essential in maintaining the trust and efficiency US Foods is known for. This position requires compliance with safety regulations and a keen attention to detail in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Safely operate a tractor/trailer in the transportation of food products and other goods. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements. Deliver products within assigned route schedule and time windows, and immediately report any delays due to breakdowns, weather, traffic conditions, or other emergencies. Verify delivery instructions and routes using the provided technology and equipment. Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations. Handle customer concerns and questions during deliveries, ensuring high levels of customer service. Follow all safety procedures designated by US Foods and federal guidelines. Excellent driving skills and familiarity with delivery protocols. Strong time management and customer service skills. Ability to operate electronic logs and onboard tracking systems.
