Job Title: Cargo Claims Adjuster -Location: Royal Oak, MI -Payrate: $60K / Year (Very negotiable when considering prior experience and education) -Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm -Job Description: -Cargo Claims Adjuster role is integral to our continued success and mission, which is to remove the complexity from logistics. The Cargo Claims Adjuster will comply with and support claims workflows, procedures and best practices while working closely with the operations and finance teams to provide the highest level of quality control and effectiveness. We empower our employees to take charge and to step up to any challenge. -Main Job Duties: - - - - - - - Investigate, evaluate liability, and settle cargo claims - - - - - - Accurately document details of the claim life from start to finish - - - - - - Research and evaluate evidence to make unbiased liability decisions within the bounds of customer and carrier contracts - - - - - - Successfully obtain recoveries from responsible parties in a timely manner - - - - - - Strong ability to operate independently and prioritize assignments - - - - - - Handle incoming and Outbound callsWho are we looking for? - - - - - - 3+ years of Claims handling experience - - - - - - Excellent organizational, teamwork, and problem-solving skills - - - - - - Experienced in Insurance lines of Cargo (Preferred), Auto Liability, or Property Damage - - - - - - Salesforce experience preferred - - - - - - Strong verbal and written negotiation skills - - - - - - Bachelors degree preferred (Not required) - - - - - - Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and willingness to learn new technologies -If interested and wanting more information, please contact Randy via: -Phone: 248-556-1869 - - - - - - - - - - - -Email: rcarlson@astoncarter.com
