Job Description Job Description Food Safety & Quality Analyst Shift: 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM Salary based on experience. We are seeking an experienced Food Safety & Quality Analyst to join our team and ensure our products consistently meet rigorous safety and quality standards. This position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals interested in starting a career in food quality assurance with plenty of room for growth and development. This is an ACTIVE position with 100% of time being on the plant floor (standing, walking, climbing stairs). Primary Responsibilities: Assist with internal and external quality audits by recording observations, reporting findings, and supporting corrective and preventive actions for identified non-conformances. Maintain, review, and update quality assurance documentation and logs to ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory guidelines. Conduct routine quality evaluations such as temperature, weight, pH, and other critical measurements, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of results. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance product quality, safety, and consistency. Provide support and guidance to production staff and participate in training initiatives related to quality standards and operating procedures. Execute thorough inspections of products, packaging, and equipment to verify adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements, including HACCP and USDA standards. Key Qualifications: One to two years of experience in a quality assurance, manufacturing, or food production setting is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in food science, biology, chemistry, or a related discipline preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Foundational understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP programs, and quality assurance/control practices. Ability to routinely lift up to 30lbs, occasionally lift, 50lbs, and stand during your full shift on the production floor. Strong attention to detail with proven organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
